Illustration Friday "Missing"

Cuddles could have been missing both ears and he'd still be the favouite teddy.

I did the little girl in watercolour, scanned her in and added the teddy in photoshop to suit the topic for this week which is "Missing"

it's interesting...i didn't notice the missing ear at first, i thought the little girl was lost or 'missing'.

how lovely...I wish I could do watercolors...I have always been intimidated by that medium. Love those fuschias too.

This is so sweet - I agree that teddy bears don't lose their charm regardless of which bits are missing.

I'm going to try and get something done for IF this week, too!

thanks everybody , Cuddles is delighted to hear (in his one good ear) that people are enjoying his portrait;)
Padraigin, ya you're right there is something a little forlorn about her especially when coupled with the word Missing.
Nancy, I know what you mean, they intimidate me too, they're so unforgiving but so rewarding when you get it right. Take a deep breath and go for it, that's what I do!
Cathy, very true, cuddles totally agrees!

Lovely watercolor, and nice job making the photoshopped teddy bear look like it's part of the original painting!

This is lovely...I appreciate pieces that make me feel and this one sends me a sense of waiting, and watchfullness.

I really like the flowers in the bottom vase as well.I think its my favourite because its the loosest and there are more whites (paper showing through amongst the colours) . The OWL? simply Just >>rocks!...;)

Thankyou for your kind and thoughtful comment .

Thanks guys, much appriciated .
I admit I am rather chuffed about the merging of the watercolour and the photoshoped teddy, it worked out nicely.

Hi Janie,
This is sooooo sweet. I love the body language and the colors you used. So true too about missing parts... these guys are best friends for many years and it doesn't matter what shape they are in.
