Illustration friday night "what are you afraid of?"

Winged things
Beating rhythms of discontent
Within my head
Painfully pecking
A whole
Piece of mind
Fearfully flapping
Fruitless
Barren thoughts
Frantic but static.

I love the sense of trapped anguish you achieved. The depth, the 'static' quality of the eyes, coupled with the movement of the wings. The poem really enhanced the understanding of the illustration for me, I loved it. There is a dark, macarbre side to this and also an ethereal beauty and delicacy. The colour choices are fab too. Brilliant. More!
