Worry

Illustration Friday's topic this week is 'Worry'
I've put the two worriers up 'cause I'd love to know which one others find better or worse as the case may be!

ooooo i like them alot!
i was gonna say, as to which i preferred, that one looks more just depressed and worrisome (despite surroundings) while the other looks like it might actually be in a situation warranting worry. ....but then i kept looking to decide which was which and couldn't.... but the contrast still seemed present. thus i think they are a cool set :P.

I really like this - it looks like a fabric doll sewn together with small worrisome threads, like the hands are sewn onto the head by constant worry...

I like the white one best.

these are great...I think I prefer the top one with the white background...probably just because I love contrast....but they are both really good.

The one with the dark background says "worry" to me a bit more than the top one. Both are well done!
(And the magpie below is a beauty!)

Both are wonderful. I think the top one is more pleasant to look at--really beautiful lines. But the bottom one evokes more of a worried emotion--I'm more uncomfortable looking at it. Which is more sucessful? Depends on what you wanted the viewer to experience. I think they both work quite well. (but if I had to choose I'd take the top one.)

Hi Janie--just wanted you to know that I LOVE your scribble series. The delicate lines look like thread to me, and the juxtaposition against the darker contours is just gorgeous. I hope you'll keep doing more of these.
