Illustration Friday's topic this week is 'Island'
This is an old acrylic on board that I revamped in photoshop.
Below is an edgier version.
I think the top one has a sort of dreamy oasis feeling whereas the second one is like the aftermath of over population and pollution!

It feels like the last bit of humanity, floating on the omnipresent body of water. Interesting pieces!

It's very cool, both pieces. The top one does have a dreamy, soft quality to it, but I like the bottom one too. I really like the colors and texture, very vivid and raw.
i like the second one better too, to me the contrast and color are interesting.

How fun to revamp a piece! The original is lovely. It reminds me of the island my husband and I honeymooned in. But I also like the second version, too. The contrast and textures are great!
